Future Minds 2010 was held on 2nd to 4th July 2010 at BMICH, Sirimavo Bandaranayke memorial hall Organized by Nalanda Junior Old Boys Union.
APIIT was in A1 position facing the main entrance hence the visitors who are entering the hall could see the stall directly ahead. Design of APIIT stall was done so that all required information was disclosed to the participants and for them to approach counselors/facilitators freely.
The unique design also provided the opportunity to differentiate APIIT stall from the rest.
Event Objectives were to;
- Generate potential enquiries in a short period
- Increase brand/product awareness among target market
- Identify and counter competitors’ actions
APIIT attracted many enquirers for all the programmes majorly for IT and Business and some for Law and Masters too. With the help of the counselors, academic staff, and other staff, not to mention the technical assistants, APIIT was able to secure potential enquiries. A student survey also was taken place for us to assist what are the new trends, methods students use to find out information about higher education etc. A/L, O/L and Diploma, Degree students took part in this survey. The result revealed that students mostly log in to Facebook, and the most popular newspaper among them is Sunday Observer. It also showed that they refer to their friends to know about higher education and the decision of which institute to attend was, in most cases, taken by the student him/herself. |
